New York Passive House 2015

2015 marked New York Passive House’s fifth year of participation in international Passive House Days, a three-day global event, held in early November each year and organized by the International Passive House Association

Around the world, owners open their doors so that the public can experience the benefits of Passive House. Visitors be aware. Once you have experienced the thermal and acoustic comfort of a Passive House building, settling for standard construction may no longer be an option.

In New York, each year has brought more projects for newcomers to visit. In 2015, we were excited to see a new generation of multifamily and commercial buildings either completed, under construction, or in design. Starting with single-family homes upstate and row house retrofits in Brooklyn, Passive House has taken root in New York. New York Passive House has grown by sharing knowledge between professionals and owners. In this spirit, New York Passive House 2015 brings you a showcase of Passive House projects from around the region.
